Exploring-  The many islands that we visit have undiscovered secrets waiting to be found (mountain climbing, shell collecting, secluded beaches, caves, lagoons, bird life, reptiles, insects and much more to explore).  If you are an explorer don’t forget to bring; shoes, bug repellent (deet) and maybe a water bottle.  The tender can transport you to shore or you can swim, kayak or snorkel.

Birding-  While visiting the many islands, you will often  sight  Frigates, Brown or Blue Footed Boobies, Heermann’s Gulls, Terns, Blue Herons, Egrets, Ibis, Storm Petrels, Pelicans and many other seabirds.  Lagoons make great nesting and feeding grounds for many of these birds. You may want to bring a good pair of binoculars.

Snorkeling-  With all the many islands to visit, rich nutrient water, abundance of fish life and meeting the unexpected (whales, mantas, whale sharks, dolphin or sea lions) the snorkeling is some of the best in the world!  Snorkeling opportunities are endless.  We visit a site were the sea lions will swim with you. Another site you can enjoy an exciting Manta encounter common during the summer months of mid June to mid November.  Snorkeling is always great YEAR ROUND!

Whale Watching- Whales are encountered year round in the Sea of Cortez but you will find the larger species during the months of December to April.  Encounters with Gray, Humpback, Sperm, Finback, Minke, Killer and the Great Blue Whales are not unusual.  These whales visit these warm rich waters of the Sea of Cortez each year.  The rich nutrients and warm protect lagoons make it an ideal wintering ground for calving and raising young.  A lot of the whales will be seen in waterways close to shore or near islands that we visit.  Here is a picture of an Orca encounter we saw that stayed for about  30 minutes.

Kayaking- If you want a real close encounter kayaking will do that.  The wildlife of the Sea  of Cortez love the kayaks and will come up to you to investigate.  We have both sit on top Kayaks and Sea Kayaks available.  Kayak, dive and camp packages are also available.

Fishing- On most of our live aboards we can offer fishing.  We also have available fishing pangas up to 26 feet and a sport fishing yacht that can sleep  up to four persons..
